Data Processing in the Lend&Share App

The Lend&Share app stores the following personal data:

1. Name

2. First Name

3. Gender

Data Entry and Address Book Access

These data can either be entered manually or, with the user’s consent, imported from the local Apple Address Book (except for gender, which is not imported). Access to the address book is disabled by default and can be activated by the user if needed.

Storage and Backup

All data is stored locally on the Apple device in a database. Users have the option to create a backup, which can be saved either locally on the device or in iCloud, within the user area specified by Apple. Access to iCloud is disabled by default upon installation of the app. To use iCloud backup functionality, the user must explicitly enable access.

Data Export and Exchange

The app allows users to export a dataset containing personal data (name, first name, and gender) as a file sent via email. Another user with the same app can import this dataset, enabling data exchange between app users. When sending via email, the app can optionally access the local address book to select an email address. Alternatively, the address can be entered manually without accessing the address book.

Media Access and Photo Storage

With the user’s explicit consent, the app can select individual photos from the local Apple photo library and store them in the database. Access to the photo library is disabled by default. When photos are stored, metadata such as geolocation or camera details is not saved.

Privacy

All data stored in the app is not shared with third parties, except for the voluntary transmission of individual datasets via email by the user.
